Ordination 4/1/16

On Friday, April 1, 2016 I was ordained as a Priest of Ár nDraíocht Féin: A Druid Fellowship (ADF).  It was a long, strange trip filled with learning and growing and a dash of struggle in that magical combination that makes it all worth the effort.

The ceremony was held at Proud Lake Recreation Area in Wixom, Michigan as part of the Cedarsong Grove Retreat.  I want to give a shout out to them for their amazing hospitality and willingness to open their first night to my friends and family who are not members of the grove so that they could come and share their blessings with me.

Rev Jean Pagano took my oath on his sickle.  Drum, as he's better known among ADF, has supported me from the very first step I took on this path.  Having him there to hold my oath means so much to me because I literally would not be here without him.

Marilyn, my sister in spirit if not in blood, held my stole as it was blessed by the Folk.  She, too, has had my back on this journey and in life and I could not ask for a more devoted friend.

Rev. Melissa Hill acted as Druid in Charge, basically keeping me sane that evening and organizing things for me so, much like a bride on her wedding day, I didn't lose my mind completely.

Anna, my grove-mate from Ohio, came up to take the omen, which was Algiz, Berkano, and Kenaz.  I take this as an omen that I am protected on my journey, that I am supported by my Disr (or maybe I am to be a Dis to others), and I am to be the torch that lights the path for others.

All in all, it was an amazing night for me, full of friendship and the love that supports me in the work that I do.

Hail the Folk, and may I be worthy of their trust!

Wandering the Path

Not all who wander are lost.

Or so they tell us.

I don't know if that's true or not, but I do know that the journey is fun.  An adventure.  And I do so love an adventure.

This space is where I will share my journey.  Hopefully in a somewhat more organized fashion that it occurred.  No promises.
